The Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM) Center of the Ethiopian Health and Nutrition Research Institute (EHNRI) conducts the training workshop form July 16 to 20, 2012 in Adama.
On his opening remark, Dr. Daddi Jima, D/Director General of EHNIR, said that the objective of the training workshop is mainly to review  the current PHEM activities at National, Regional and sub-regional levels.

“In addition to that, the training workshop is also aimed at providing training to trainers who participates on the new PHEM guideline and guidelines of diseases under surveillance” added Dr. Daddi.
During the 6 days training workshop, participants have also reviewed the National and Regional PHEM.
According to the Participants of the training workshop, the training helped them to know the status of the PHEM core process implementation at different levels in different Regions. It also Provide them an opportunity to learn best experiences from the other PHEM processes and implement in their situations and Participants will have the necessary knowledge that enables them to give trainings on specific diseases under surveillance.
The training workshop has attracted more than 68 participants that include Health Professionals assigned by different UN Agencies to Regional Health Bureau and representatives of Regional Health Bureau, Federal Ministry of Health and its Agencies and the Ethiopian Health and Nutrition Research Institute.
