GLOBAL ADULT TOBACCO SURVEY Round 2 (GATS 2) IN ETHIOPIA

Description

GATS  is a household survey of individuals 15 years of age or older designed to increase understanding of adult tobacco use and people’s perceptions of tobacco products in Ethiopia. The sampling frame for GATS will also be based on the Enumeration Areas (EA) from the Central Statistics Agency. The prevalence will be reported at the national level and stratified by gender, and by urban and rural areas. Sub-national prevalence will be considered reported at the level of regions without any stratification

Objectives

The general objective of this survey is to generate nationally representative data on adult tobacco use, main indicators of tobacco consumption and key tobacco control measures that can be compared with GATS 1 and across countries.
