ኢንስቲትዩቱ የሲቪል አቭዬሸን 80ኛ ክብረ በዓል ላይ ተሳተፈ EPHI Participated in the 80th Anniversary of ICAO
የአለም አቀፉ ሲቪል አቪዬሽን ድርጅት ከኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል አቪዬሽን ባለስልጣን ጋር በመተባበር 80ኛ ዓመት የምስረታ በዓሉን ከህዳር 30 እስከ ታህሳስ 3/2017 ዓ.ም በአዲስ አበባ ስካይላይት ሆቴል በአከበረበት ወቅት የኢትዮጵያ የሕብረተሰብ ጤና ኢንስቲትዩት የተጓዦች እና ድንበር ጤና ዳይሬክቶሬት የተሳተፈ ሲሆን የተከበሩ የትራንስፖርት ሚኒስትር ዶ/ር አለሙ ስሜ ከኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል አቪዬሽን ባለስልጣን ዳይሬክተር ጀነራል አቶ ጌታቸው መንግስቴ ጋር በመሆን ስነ ስርዓቱን አስጀምረዋል።
የኢንስቲትዩቱ የተጓዦች እና ድንበር ጤና ዳይሬክቶሬት ዳይሬክተር አቶ ተመስጌን ለሚ እንደገለፁት ኢንስቲትዩቱ በዚህ ታላቅ ዝግጅት ላይ እንደ ዋና ባለድርሻ አካል ሆኖ በመሳተፉ ኩራት የተሰማው ሲሆን በቦሌ አለም አቀፍ አውሮፕላን ማረፊያ የPort Health ቡድን በአቪዬሽን ኢንዱስትሪ ውስጥ የሚሰሩ የሕብረተሰብ ጤና ስራዎች ላይ ጉልህ ሚና እየተጫወተ ይገኛል። የዚህ ቡድን ራዕይ የአለም ጤና ደንብ ባስቀመጣቸው አሰራሮችና አገራችን ተቀብላ በምታስፈጽመው ድንብ መሰረት የአለም አቀፍ ጉዞ እና የንግድ ትስስሩ ሳይስተጓጐል ሕብረተሰቡን ከድንበር ተሻጋሪ ተላላፊ በሽታዎችን በአለም አቀፍ መግቢያና መውጫ በሮች ላይ ተገቢውን የጤና ቁጥጥር በማድረግ ሕብረተሰቡን ከድንበር ተሻጋሪ ተላላፊ በሽታዎች መከላከል፣ ለተጓዦች የጤና መረጃዎችን መስጠት እና አስፈላጊውን እርምጃዎችን ማከናወን ነው፡፡
በዝግጅቱም ላይ በአገራችን የሚሰሩ ቁልፍ የሕብረተሰብ ጤና ድንገተኛ አደጋዎች ስራዎች እና በአቪዬሽን ዘርፍም የሚሰሩ የሕብረተሰብ ጤና አጠባበቅ ላይ እየተሰሩ ያሉ ስራዎች በዋና ዋና ባለድርሻ አካላት ዘንድ ጥሩ እውቅና ተሰጥቶታል። በተጨማሪም የአለም አቀፉ የአቭዬሽን ድርጅት (ICAO) የሕብረተሰብ ጤና-ነክ ደረጃዎች እና የሚመከሩ ልማዶች ((Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs))ን በሚመለከት የተለያዩ ውይይቶች ተካሂደዋል።
በስነ ስርዓቱም ላይ የወቅቱን የሕብረተሰብ ጤና አደጋ የሆነውን Mpox እና Marburg Virus Disease (MVD) አስመልከቶ በPort Health ቡድን በቦሌ አለም አቀፍ አውሮፕላን ማረፊያ እየተሰሩ ያሉ ስራዎች በተለያየ መልኩ ገለጻዎች ተሰጥተዋል።
አንስቲትዩቱ በተጓዦች እና ድንበር ጤና ዳይሬክቶሬት በኩል ለስደተኞችና ከስደት ተመላሽ ዜጎች እየሰጠ ያለውን የጤና አገልግሎት እና ጠንካራ ምላሽ ሰጪ ዘዴዎችን በመተግበር ላይ ያለውን ወሳኝ ሚና አጉልቶ ለማሳየት ተችሏል።
የበዓል ዝግጅቱ በአቪዬሽን ዘርፍ ያሉ የሕብረተሰብ ጤና አገልግሎት ተግዳሮቶችን ለመፍታት የበርካታ ባለድርሻ አካላት ትብብር ወሳኝ ሚና እንዳለው ያሳየ ሲሆን የአለም አቀፍ ተጓዦችንና የሕብረተሰቡን ደህንነት እና ጤና ለማረጋገጥ ቀጣይነት ያለው ጠንካራ የጋራ ትብብር እንደሚያስፈልግ የጋራ መግባባት ላይ ሁሉም ባለድርሻ አካል በተቀናጀ መልኩ እንዲሰራ ጥሩ መድረክ ፈጥሯል።
በስተመጨረሻም ኢንስቲትዩቱ ላበረከተው አስተዋጾ የእውቅና የምስክር ወረቀት ተበርክቶለታል።
EPHI Participated in the 80th Anniversary of ICAO

The Ethiopian Public Health Institute’s (EPHI) Travelers and Border Health Directorate (TBHD) participated on the 80th anniversary ceremony organized in collaboration with the Ethiopians Civil Aviation Authority in Addis Ababa from December 9 – 12,2024.The ceremony was officially opened by the Ethiopian Transport Minister H.E. Dr. Alemu Simie and Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority’s Director Mr. Getachew Mengiste.
According to Mr. Temesgen Lemi, Director of TBHD, the Institute is proud to participate as a major stakeholder in this great event, and the Port Health team of the Directorate at Bole International Airport is playing a significant role in public health activities in the aviation industry.The vision of this team is to protect the community from cross-border infectious diseases by conducting appropriate health surveillance at international entry and exit points, providing health related information to travelers; in accordance with the procedures set by the World Health Organization and the regulations adopted and implemented by the country, without disrupting international travel and trade.
On the ceremony, public health emergency management and public health services in the aviation sector have been recognized by major stake holders. In addition, different discussions were held on ICAO’s Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). Also the different activities on Bole International Airport by the Port Health team to prevent Mpox and Marburg Virus Disease (MVD) have been elaborated and were displayed.
Finally, EPHI has recieved a certificate of recognition for it’s participation.
