EHNRI Disseminates National Nutrition Baseline Survey Results

The Ethiopian Health and Nutrition Research Institute (EHNRI) disseminates National Nutrition Baseline Survey Result to all concerned bodies on 23 September, 2010.On the dissemination workshop held at Churchill Hotel, Addis Ababa, Dr. Tsehaynesh Mesele, Director General of EHNRI said that, the result of the baseline survey is believed to give an indication for the underway nutrition intervention in the country.

“I hope having the result of the baseline survey will inspire all concerned bodies to redouble the effort that all partners are making towards tackling malnutrition the Ethiopia” she added.

gratitude to all involved partner organizations and people involved in designing of the survey, training, supervision, data collection, data cleaning, data analysis and report preparation.

The Institute has also disseminated in the same workshop that the survey result of Therapeutic Feeding Program (PTF) coverage which was carried out in Amhara, Oromia, Tigray and Southern Regions.

Researchers, representatives of donors, Program Managers and planers from the nutrition field were part of the survey dissemination session. 

It is learned that, EHNRI has planed to carryout national level Food Consumption Survey which result is believed to be helpful in informing the food fortification efforts proceeding in the country.
