EPHI’s Performance Reached 87%
The Ethiopian Public Health Institute’s (EPHI) Plan, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate
(PMED) organized a two days meeting to present the last year’s performance report and the
plan for the new budget year from August 16 – 17, 2019 in Bishoftu town. The Institute’s top
management led the discussions & gave key remarks and directions for the way forward.
And on this meeting it was disclosed that the Institute’s last year’s performance has reached
87%.
Dr. Ebba Abate, Director General of EPHI while addressing the participants of the meeting
said that we should not focus on our success stories rather it would be best to point out our
weaknesses and challenges in the last budget year and incorporate strategies and solutions
in our plan to overcome these weakness and challenges.
The major challenges during the last budget year were purchasing processes and over
planning which attributed to not getting maximum performance achievements.
It is to be recalled that PMED has organized such a meeting a month ago to present the
draft report and plan of the Institute. On this meeting all directorates and offices of the
Institute have presented their reports and plans. After the presentations comments and
suggestions were forwarded to strengthen the reports and plans.
