EPHI to Launch Post Measles Vaccination Campaign

Following the nationwide measles vaccination campaign by the Federal Ministry of Health (MoH), the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) is to launch post vaccination campaign for two consecutive months starting from March 20, 2017.
EPHI is giving training for data collectors and regional coordinators who, after the training, will be dispatched to the nine regions and the two city administrations to survey the vaccination coverage. The data for the survey will include children aged from nine months to fifteen years.
It is known that MoH has conducted measles vaccination campaign several times. And this time the survey aims to find out the amount of the vaccination’s coverage at national, regional and zonal levels and to point out information for decision making to scale up the coverage are the objectives of the survey.
