EPHI Conducting Functional PHEOC Ebola Simulation Exercise
After more than a month preparation, EPHI in collaboration with the WHO AFRO has commenced the functional Public Health Emergency Operating Center (PHEOC) simulation exercise assuming that the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) is imported in Ethiopia after priory report from fictitious country in Africa.
The exercise was intended to test the operational readiness and functionalities of PHEOC in responding to the Ebola outbreak.
The exercise’s objective is to identify areas of strength to be built upon and opportunities for improvement and was conducted starting from December 4 to 5, 2019.
25 participants from EPHI, Ethiopia-CDC, WHO, Federal Police, Ministry of Defense and US-CDC both the technical staffs and leaderships are participating on the exercise
