IANPHI Meeting Will be Opened on Dec. 4, 2019
The 2019 International Association of National Public Health Institute (IANPHI) meeting which is hosted by the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) under the theme “Evidence-informed global action for trans-boundary public health challenges” will be officially opened on December 4, 2019. This was disclosed on the press conference given by EPHI’s Director General Dr. Ebba Abate
During the 2018 annual meeting, member states have selected Ethiopia to host this year meeting over Sweden and Brazil and is the third time to be hosted in Africa continent. The meeting attracts about 150 delegates from 95 countries all over the world and several international organizations including the World Health Organization, US CDC and Africa CDC and it is to be conducted in the African Union conference centre.
This scientific meeting will provide opportunities for NPHI directors to share experiences and expertise, discuss common issues, and plan for future collaborations. In addition to robust scientific benchmarking and technical sessions, the meeting is a rich setting for developing professional and institutional linkage.
