Technicians Obtain Training on Lab Equipment Maintenance

Bacton Dickinson International (BD), a health laboratory equipments Manufacturer and Supplier, provides training, 15 November, 2010 to health laboratory technicians on Lab equipments maintenance that the company was supplied to the Ethiopian Health and Nutrition Research Institute (EHNRI).
The training was given based on the agreement that BD was made with EHNRI, on July 17, 2010 to provide a free of charge trainings for consecutive five years to central and regional level technicians of the nation on how to maintain and fix the laboratory equipments known as FACS Caliburs and FACS Count.
The equipments that the Lab technicians trained on are recently providing a service in all ART service providing centers of the country to monitor the health status of the HIV patients who are taking ARV service.
According to the training coordinators, the training will enable the health facilities to provide uninterrupted laboratory service to its customers and also reduce the cost that the Institute is spending to purchase spare parts and produced skilled man power of the area.
