Workshop Evaluated Achievements of Protecting Anthrax in Ethiopia
A one day workshop on current achievements in protecting Anthrax, identified gaps and future plans for prevention and control of the disease in Ethiopia was held on February 20,2019 with Anthrax stakeholders and partner organizations.
The workshop which was organized by the Ethiopian Public Health Institute’s (EPHI) Bacterial, Parasitic and Zoonoses Diseases Research Directorate and Public Health Emergency Management Center also reviewed the progress of anthrax control and protection from all the concerned bodies side, investigation reports, collaboration frame work status of anthrax activities under One Health regarding joint & specific responsibilities of line Ministries for the implementation of Anthrax activities.
EPHI’s staffs working on the issue, representatives from Ministry of Health and representatives from five partner organizations have attended on the workshop.
