EPHI hosted a learning visit for fellows from the prestigious Kofi Annan Fellowship

During their time at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), the fellows were warmly received by the Institute’s Director General, Dr. Mesay Hailu.
Dr. Mesay highlighted the critical importance of the Kofi Annan Fellowship in nurturing the next generation of public health leaders on the continent. He emphasized how the program’s commitment to leadership development aligns closely with EPHI’s mission to promote evidence-based public health policies and practices that can transform health outcomes regionally.
The visit provided a platform for meaningful dialogue and the exchange of innovative ideas, focusing on strengthening public health systems, enhancing research capacity, and fostering greater regional cooperation. As part of the visit, the fellows toured key EPHI facilities, including the National Laboratories and the Institute’s state-of-the-art Data Management Center. This hands-on experience gave the fellows valuable insights into Ethiopia’s cutting-edge approaches to laboratory diagnostics, surveillance, and health data analytics.
