In an effort to enhance the quality report driven from Health Management Information System (HMIS) in Ethiopia, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has invested in the “Operational Research and Coaching of Analysts (ORCA) program” in Ethiopia through partnerships with London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSTHM) and the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI).
LSTHM in collaboration with EPHI’s Health Systems and Reproductive Health Research Directorate will lead and perform the program. The work will be performed in groups of six to seven participants across Federal Ministry of Health, EPHI, and Pharmaceuticals Fund and Supply Agency (PFSA) directorates and focus priority health metrics that are relevant for the ministry and these institutions. The total number of 40 participants will be divided equally into two batches.
Aiming to establish the thematic groups and plan the activities of the groups as well as each member of the groups for the next 12 months, the first batch workshop was held from June 25 – 29, 2018 and the next batch will continue from July29 to August 3, 2018.
