Invites Application for SHORT COURSE ON ENVIRONMENTAL EPIDEMIOLOGY AND EXPOSURE
ASSESSMENT

This 4-day introductory training aims to promote research collaboration and capacity development in environmental epidemiology and exposure assessment Ethiopia.
Researchers, Scientists and postgraduate with interests in Environmental/Epidemiology/Public Health-related field can apply.
The course is hosted by EPHI and NIPH, in collaboration under the Building Stronger Public Health Institutions (BIS) program which aims to contribute to the building of competent and resilient health systems underpinned by strong public health institutions. The program is based on principles of equality and mutual learning, national ownership and sustainability, and responsible ethical behaviour. Best available knowledge and adaptability are central issues in the cooperation.
Requirements: Applicants for this course are expected to fulfil the criteria that are listed below:
- Applicants should be Employees of EPHI
- MPH, Medical Degree, or equivalent in a scientific field (environmental sciences, chemistry, biology, epidemiology, medicine, public health, or comparable) who were graduated from an accredited university in country or abroad with at least 2 years’ experience in the subject matter: epidemiology, nutritional epidemiology, environmental health, exposure assessment, environmental sciences.
- Researchers, program implementers including environmental health, nutrition and public health emergency, laboratory professionals, statisticians.
- Currently participating or planning to participate or conduct research in the field of environmental health, epidemiology or environmental exposure assessment.
