Workshop Assesses Implementation of NAPHS

The workshop organized by the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) in collaboration with Resolve To Save Lives (RTSL) to assess the overall implementation status of the National Action Plan for Health Security (NAPHS-2019-2024) has been started on September 7today in Adama town at the presence of the various stakeholders.
Dr. Feyssa Regassa focal person of the International Health Regulation (IHR) explained that to give orientation on the new tracker, review implementation of NAPHS and categorize accordingly, identify and assign responsible focal persons who will regularly review, label the status, and monitor the implementation, identify implementation challenges and possible solutions, and to identify aligned NAPHS activities with sector/department plans are the major objectives of the workshop.
Muluken Moges, EPHI’s Plan, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate Director indicated that since the first NAPHS is nearing to its completion the outcomes of the workshop outcomes will be very important inputs for planning the next phase
of NAPHS.
Along with EPHI and RTSL’s staffs representatives from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Ethiopian Wild Life Conservation Authority, Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority, Civil Aviation and the National Veterinary Institute participated in the workshop.
